So yea!! I am on the lowest step of my diet plan which I haven't been for about a year. I will switch to my maintenance program in 4 more lbs. Maintenance....no more trying to lose weight I hope I can get there again.

So I am off to go running again this morning and I feel so good! I wished I could just always keep in my head how good I always feel and how much more energy I have when I am fueling my body with foods it needs and exercising!

So far so good this month!.it is so much easier with a routine now that the kids are back in school!! I am planning on hopefully losing about 2 lbs a week and if I can I will b at my goal!! Wahoo

So ya....this month did not go at all as I had planned. My little sister got married and I seriously ate like 10 mini cheesecakes one day!!! Uuuggghhh. I ended up gaining several pounds that week.....but I am pleased to say I ended the month much better. The kids are back in school which is awesome for my routine. I just hope I can keep it up the last two months of this competition and so forth.

So far so good! I actually remembered to blog:) I ran my first 5K last month in 31 minutes. I was so proud of myself because I am NOT a runner!! I am also finishing up my personal training sessions and have now started Taekwondo. I feel like I am probably in the best shape that I have been in since High School. I just got back from a one week family reunion and tried to exercise while in the mountains. I hiked for 4 hours one day and was able to climb an 11,000 foot peak with my oldest daughter, father and niece. It was so awesome.

This month is going to be a good one. I have set blog reminders on my phone so I will remember during the chaos of work/kids. I ran my first 5k in July and my time was 31minutes . I was sooooooo proud of myself because I am not the running type. I have also started taekwondo again and this time I am going to get my black belt! I am hoping I will do better eating healthy than I did last month
I got off track with Junk over the 4th of july and again on the 24th of july and had a hard time regaining control. I haver a big one week camping trip this week and I hope that I can hold strong and stay away from the junk!

So my 15 year high school reunion us this month. I have never went to one of my reunions before. I am seriously considering going. I need to have a really good couple of weeks so I can look and feel great for the reunion.

I can't believe it has been one month! I can say I love running. Tonight my three oldest kids and I went running in my hometown ( they were on scooters) It was so much fun. I am excited to see what tomorrow brings.

I have been extremely tired the last two days I didn't even go running last night (i did bike though.) I dont want to run tonight again! I think I was in the sun to long yesterday it drained me and I have a sunburn to boot:(

So how funny.....the day after I wrote my last post I actually strained my hip. I had just gotten back from my morning run and decided to do some balance lunges. The first one I did my hip didn't cooperate and it hurt until today. I was actually pretty scared to run this morning but I did it anyway. And guess what it did not bother me at all... Yea!

I am trying to become a runner! Trying. I have never been a runner and I tried getting into it a couple of years ago but I have a bad hip and it started acting up so I stopped. I found out later that maybe if I gradually work into it my hip might adjust. So here goes. I have ran 5 days now on a course/ trail around my neighborhood and it feels wonderful so far. No hip pain yet so hopefully it won't start. My phone has an awesome app. that interrupts my music every couple of minutes to tell me my speed and distance. It is awesome. I am actually running at a much faster pace than on a treadmill ( or so it tells me.) So here goes to my lifelong dream of running a marathon or maybe half.

Well I had a rough day today...i felt like I ran and ran but never got anything done. I then came home to find our trampoline has blown over from all this crazy wind. The first thing I wanted to do was eat junk left over from our bbq last night (I resisted it easily last night .) I realize I am a stress eater and definitely eat for comfort! I did talk myself out of eating unhealthy, but only because I am in this competition. I need to figure out how I can have the will power without relying on outside sources to fuel me.

Here we go! I am soo excited to start this journey.

I was not planning on entering this comp until 2 days ago when I decided I need a push of motivation that I am lacking! I had been doing pretty good on my own until my family came into town and I blew all of my self (eating) control all weekend! So needless to say I am soooo excited and I have an new phone that will make blogging and weighing in much easier this time around.
