K back on track for 2 days! I made it to the Gym once but I started sweating and it burned my eyes (I had Lasik eye surgery last wed.) So I lifted some weights without sweating! I have not went to the gym again, I decided to wait until I was one week post op and could actually shower my eyes with water.

I had surgery this week (eye) so I actually gained a bit of weight with all of the inactivity and prednisone. I am going to try to get back on track tomorrow.

I made it to the gym yesterday for the first time in months!! I was able to do a yoga class yesterday and power pump today. Loved it. I have made an appointment for Monday to finally start my personal training. I am nervous that the scale is not going to be nice to me anymore...I always start putting on weight when I exercise more. I guess muscle weighs more than fat right. Oh well at least I will be getting more toned (and hopefully get ride of the "bat wings" that I call arms!) Maybe my 5 year old will finally not be so entertained jiggling all of the fat under my arms if it is more toned.

SOOO...My family came up this weekend to celebrate my youngests bday and I totally blew my diet! Texas Roadhouse, Thai house, Denny's and IHOP in two days....oh yea and birthday cake! Oh well. I am going to get back on track tomorrow. I have decided it is good to take breaks once in a while.

O.K. This weeks challenge is great. I have been trying to lose weight since Sept. 2008. I gave birth in Sept. 2007, so exactly on year of breastfeeding and on my son's one year birthday I decided to start trying to lose weight. Between my pregnancies I put on nearly 80-90 lbs total!! I had pre-eclampsia with both boys and was on bedrest for months. I had put on soooo much weight and felt AWFUL. I have now lost the weight and then some. It has been a long journey. I have learned how I need to eat and that I need to stay active to keep the weight off.

New week! I was able to exercise everyday last week (that I wasn't at work.) I have been extra hungry since increasing my energy expenditure. I have been eating a bit more...hopefully the scale will not reflect that.

Down 8 lbs this month! I guess it went better than I thought. I tried to stay on track with all of the weekly challenges and the most helpful one ended up being keeping a diary of what I ate. I had kinda been slipping on that the last little while. I really want to do better at exercising this month. I went on a walk today (to pick up my kiddo from his first day of kindergarten) with my new "shape up" shoes and I can really feel it in my buttocks.
